Reduce

•Make double-sided copies at copy machines.
•Utilize electronic mail whenever possible.

Re-use

•Bring a mug from home for coffee in the office.
•Plastic mugs are great if your on the go (there is a $.20 discount on brewed coffee at  all UCEN Dining Services with UCEN mugs).
•Scratch paper (make your own note pads.)

Recycle

•NO paper in trash cans (utilize ‘green office pack’ bins in main office area and ‘blue  pitches’ at your desk).
•Locate and utilize your nearest cardboard recycling dumpster.
 FLATTEN ALL CARDBOARD.
•Take all newspaper, aluminum, plastic #1 and 2, and glass to nearest recycling cluster.

Buy Recycled

•Purchase post consumer recycled paper and other recycled office products for your  department.
•Combined with other waste reduction techniques, costs do not increase significantly.
