Ellwood-Devereux

The Joint Proposal for the Ellwood-Devereux Coast (Joint Proposal) is a collaborative effort by the City of Goleta, University of California, Santa Barbara, and County of Santa Barbara. It provides for a comprehensive planning approach to resolve land use and environmental conflicts in the Joint Proposal area that protects sensitive environmental resources while allowing reasonable development under the jurisdiction of each agency.
One of the key elements of the Joint Proposal is the Open Space and Habitat Management Plan (Open Space Plan). The Joint Proposal sponsors seek public input on how the open space lands should be managed, and the key issues to be addressed in the Open Space Plan. We are interested in your ideas about habitat protection, public access and recreation, off-site parking, and other topics. This website provides an opportunity for the public to participate in the development of the Open Space Plan and serves as a portal of information for the public regarding all aspects of the Open Space Plan.
